About Oki
Hi!
I come from cold and frosty Finland, and now live in sunny Nelson, New Zealand. I moved to New Zealand because I was inspired by its beautiful and highly precious nature.
I hold a master's degree in environmental biology from the University of Eastern Finland. The major part of my postgraduate studies focused on ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, environmental pollution and remediation, ecology, and hydrobiology. My thesis was about method development for extracting and quantifying microplastics in freshwater and sediment.
After graduating from the university, I worked in my home country in the field of education as a schoolteacher and tutor until moving from Finland to New Zealand.

To begin with, we will go over what you know already. Then we can discuss how to expand upon it, and answer any questions that arise.
I'm an easygoing person, so you don't need to worry about yourself and can focus on the subject matter.
Length of my lessons is adjustable based on your wishes. I prefer 1-3 hour sessions, but we can do shorter or longer if agreed upon.
I am happy to engage with students of all skill levels and ages.
