About Bethany
Throughout my time in education, I have excelled in my undergraduate and postgraduate studies and am keen to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. I have obtained a first-class degree in Psychology and a distinction in Cognitive Neuroscience & Neuroimaging, as well as work experience with both patients and participants of psychological research. I demonstrate a broad knowledge of psychological theory, as well as research skills and statistical analysis. I have worked as a Research Assistant and have published two journal articles. I have four A-Levels (Psychology, English, History and General Studies) as well as an AS Level in Maths. I also have 11 GCSEs, ranging from A* to B.
I am a confident and passionate individual, who will apply herself to any given task. I currently work as a Higher Assistant Psychologist in a community mental health team, meaning I have first-hand clinical experience. I have worked across inpatient and forensic settings as a Support Worker and Assistant Psychologist. In my job in retail and through volunteering, I have worked with a wide range of individuals and am able to communicate effectively depending on the needs of others. I have extensive experience working in support groups and as a Peer Mentor at Lancaster University. I was also a 'freshers rep' during my second year and was able to work closely with first year University students. I am friendly, patient and will try my hardest to provide the best possible support to younger students.
