About Reid
With 4 years of experience teaching Chemistry to high school and college students, I am deeply committed to fostering a strong understanding and appreciation for the subject. My approach centers on personalized learning, recognizing that every student has a unique learning style. I tailor lessons to individual needs, ensuring that complex concepts are broken down into understandable, relatable ideas. Whether it's General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Industrial Chemistry, I use a mix of interactive learning, real-world applications, and creative methods to keep students engaged. I believe in building a strong foundational knowledge and empowering students to become independent problem-solvers. I focus on enhancing critical thinking skills and providing practical strategies for exam preparation, assignments, and in-depth topic exploration. My dedication to teaching goes beyond academic success—I aim to inspire a lifelong curiosity and passion for Chemistry. Through my experience, I’ve honed my ability to adapt to a variety of learning styles, ensuring that every student I work with feels supported and confident in their academic journey.

My teaching methodology combines Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving to ensure a holistic and effective learning experience in Chemistry. I believe that understanding the concepts behind chemical reactions and principles is key, so I focus on making abstract ideas more tangible through creative examples and real-world applications. I use interactive tools and experiments (where possible) to engage students and bring the subject to life. Communication is at the heart of my approach—encouraging open dialogue to clarify doubts, and I actively listen to my students’ needs, tailoring lessons to suit their individual learning styles. I foster a compassionate, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I emphasize problem-solving by guiding students through challenging concepts step-by-step, ensuring they develop both critical thinking and practical skills. In addition to Chemistry, I can teach related subjects such as Biology, Industrial Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry, providing a well-rounded foundation for students. My goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to ignite a genuine passion for the subject.
