About Binu
Over the course of my ten-year career as a high school mathematics teacher, I have developed a skill set directly relevant to the math tutor role. I hold an MBA in Education Management along with a Master's in Statistics, Bachelor's and Master's in Mathematics Education (B.Ed and M.Ed). Presently, I am working as a Math teacher in Abbotsford school district.

According to me, it is important to help students master a strong math foundation before they can understand higher-level mathematics by providing them a step-by-step guide so that they can refer to it as they complete their homework as in most cases, students excel by learning the reason behind the math concept. When it comes to a difficult math topic, I believe in helping the visual learners through the use of models and learning aids. In the case of students solving an equation, I encourage them to talk out loud. In my view, describing the process is a great way to help students think through the process and discover areas that they still might be struggling to understand. I believe in making mathematics interesting to the students by the use of various easy strategies and encouraging through positive reinforcement.
