Motivated and diligent third-year Medical student at the University of Cambridge, keen to mentor GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics students. I possess a strong academic background and valuable experience in supporting peers' understanding of complex concepts through mentoring and collaborative study. Patient and enthusiastic, I am eager to help students gain confidence and enjoy the learning process.

About the lesson

I prefer a patient and adaptable approach to tutoring. From my experience in leading study groups with peers and mentoring younger students, I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on identifying what works best for each individual. I aim to make my lessons engaging and prioritise building the confidence of students through breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. Whether advising on exam technique or strengthening subject-understanding, I aim to build both knowledge and self-belief such that my students are confident in tackling challenging questions independently and are applying their learning with reassurance. Lesson Length: 1-2 hours Subject Level: GCSE, AS Levels, A-Levels Experience: Peer Mentor and Study Group Leader - Sutton Grammar School (2021-2023): Provided academic and pastoral support to younger GCSE and AS Level students, offering guidance on workload management, revision techniques and exam preparation. Developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through mentoring peers with varied learning styles and academic needs. Co-President - Chemistry Society - Sutton Grammar School (2022-2023) Co-founded and led the school's Chemistry Society to promote engagement with science beyond the classroom. Organised revision sessions and delivered presentations on challenging GCSE and A-Level topics to groups of students. Gained valuable experience in explaining complex scientific concepts clearly and accessibly, while also improving public speaking and leadership skills Voluntary and Shadowing Placements - Various Locations - 2021-Present Observed and supported professionals in healthcare settings, interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
