You may call me Miss Kayla! I have two children who are receiving a bilingual education and I have seen first hand the opportunities it can offer our young people to build up their social skills.
I began learning Spanish over 10 years ago and have been welcomed into a Salvadorian family for 12 years. The uniqueness of my teaching is that I have a cultural and personal connection to the language while also understanding the issues of learning a second language from a non- native speaker perspective.

My personal teaching methodology is to build up learners confidence via fixed phrases, commonly used vocabulary and music lyrics.
By intertwining Culture and fun with literacy and linguistic skills my hope is to foster an intrinsic sense of motivation and desire to learn.
