About Vanna
I am a current University Lecturer and hold a PhD and First Class Honors in English and Creative Writing from The University of Adelaide, and an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of NSW, Sydney. My extensive experience in tertiary education as both a student and a teacher allows me to truly understand the challenges students face, particularly international students where English is not their first language. I can assist students with building confidence and developing skills to thrive in their studies and reach their academic goals.

I always aim to create a warm and inclusive learning environment, where mistakes are welcome (even celebrated!) and learning is fun and enriching. I love to see students' minds expand as they are exposed to new ideas and develop critical skills to express themselves with clarity and precision both verbally and in writing. I am primarily focused on assisting upper secondary and university students, both undergrad and postgraduate, and I tailor each tutoring session to students' individual needs. Lessons last an hour and are conducted online.

I am happy to read and assess written work outside of tutoring hours, however this will be charged at a 50% rate ($50 per hour) to account for my time.
