About Iris
I am a dedicated education and counselling professional with over 16 years of combined experience. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor in the Philippines, an Online ESL Teacher for international learners, and an Academic Counselor/Instructor in Canada. My experience spans both in-person and virtual learning environments, allowing me to effectively support students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
My teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and adaptive. I hold multiple certifications, including TEFL, ESL Teaching and Early Childhood Education.

As an educator for many years, my teaching techniques are flexible and varies with my learners- but mostly dun and engaging. Giving the freedom to talk most, and express ideas in my lesson plans.
My unique technique for my students is how they can manage to learn and focus mostly on speaking skills, application in real- life and giving themselves the capability to explain further.
What sets me apart from the other tutors is that my lesson includes:
- customized learning styles- can cater different learners
- confidence building - I don’t focus solely on academics, but taking the time to build a student's confidence before lessons
- collaboration- having the integration amongst other learners
