About Naomi
My name is Naomi Popa and I am a molecular biology graduate student and experienced science educator based in Tulsa, Oklahoma! My background spans advanced cancer biology research, over four years of clinical healthcare experience, and years of tutoring students from middle school through college. I’ve taught biology labs at the college level, worked directly with patients as a medical assistant and scribe, and conducted research in cancer treatment development. These experiences have taught me not only the importance of mastering the material, but also how to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way. I have a passion for teaching and education, as I believe that a great teacher can make a difficult subject easy to master!

I love helping students feel confident in science by making even the trickiest concepts click. Every lesson is tailored to how you learn best, whether that’s visuals, step-by-step walkthroughs, or hands-on examples from my own research and clinical work. We’ll work together to break things down, practice until it sticks, and build a solid understanding you can rely on in class and beyond. I tutor students from middle school through college, with a focus on biology, chemistry, and anatomy, and I especially enjoy helping future healthcare students prepare for the challenges ahead.
