About Rebecca
My name is Becca. I am a young woman who dropped science at high school ASAP as I was not receptive to how it was taught. Thus, I understand firsthand how overwhelming and scary science can be. Since then, I have gained admission into university, completed my undergraduate degree and am now halfway through my postgraduate degree... what changed? I learnt that there is not just one way to learn.

My methods for teaching biology involve:
- providing alternative methods to grasping difficult concepts
- making science fun
- explaining marking schemes and demonstrating what is actually required from the student
I have experience as a teaching assistant in first year university biology papers including foundation and 101 papers. In 2021, I obtained a Bachelor of Science (majoring in biological sciences - specialization in genetics). I am over halfway through with my Postgraduate Diploma in Biotechnology.
My lessons are for any level high school students, preferably undertaking NCEA.
