About Javal
I finished my undergraduate in Biology at the University of Toronto in 2018, and I attained a GPA of 3.92 out of 4. Throughout my academic career, I have been a high achieving student. I understand that students sometimes need more help than what is provided in school. Being in a class of 40+ students often makes you feel like you are just another number. Therefore, I wanted to give back to the community by helping students.

My teaching method depends on how much the student already understands. I focus more on understanding the concept, rather than memorization. A typical class will start with brief topic overview, followed by practice questions. As a tutor, I believe there are different styles that need to be incorporated in learning for different students. Such as, some students learn better by listening, while others by watching or understanding with anology. Therefore, I try to use different techniques in first few classes to understand exactly what helps the student.
