About Liyana
I am a Master of Arts (Honours) student studying at St Andrews. For my GCSEs and A levels I achieved all 8/9s and A*/As. I have been involved in academic research (including some solo publications) and have been a research assistant.
I will always remember how hard studying can be and want to help in any way that I can.

I believe in fully personalised learning and the potential in every individual. Everyone is unique in their goals and abilities and I aim to adapt to each student.
Feedback and collaborative learning are essential to my methods.
A typical session would be 60 minutes, with an initial (free) conversation to make sure we are compatible.
I have extensive experience in research in an academic setting, whilst also tutoring for GCSE and A level (English and History). I understand the pressure of both and will always keep that in mind.
I also have experience in developing foundational literacy and writing skills (KS3-4). This is focused on creating confidence and ability. A big part of my personal method and teaching philosophy is ensuring the foundations are clear.
