About Elise
I am a recent graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have been tutoring for six years in a variety of subjects such as Calculus, Geometry, Algebra, and SAT prep. I taught Physics at MIT during a summer program in 2017 and have been a math mentor for Girl's Angle, an after school STEM program for young girls, for three years.

I modify my teaching style to fit individual students but every lesson I give is structured to give the student ample space to talk. I find that having a conversation about a topic or problem, rather than me just showing them how to do it, encourages deeper understanding and the ability for them to solve the next problem on their own. I am comfortable teaching all ages elementary through high school in topics ranging from elementary math to Calculus.
