About Maurielle
Hi there!
I'm Maurielle, a recent MIT alumnus (BSc '25, MSc '26) now working as an astrobiology research scientist.
My passion lies in astronomy and astrophysics, specifically planetary formation, but my academic journey has taken me on a wild ride through the physical sciences. I've jumped from an undergrad thesis in exomoon formation, to a master's in Mars geomorphology, to now learning biochemistry to predict how life might survive in the Venusian atmosphere.

I follow the techniques taught in MIT's physics pedagogy course. This method leverages metacognition, mental schema (how the brain stores and retrieves information), and understanding how to support the student in a holistic manner. It is my utmost priority to establish a positive environment where intellectual risk-taking is encouraged and getting stuck is a natural, productive part of
the learning process.
I am open to tutoring all ages, levels, and learning styles. All I ask is for students to trust the process. With an open and curious mind you can learn and master anything!
