About Alison
In 5 years teaching I have come across all levels of ability and skill.I pride myself on being able to meet students where they are, find out what their misunderstanding is, and make it more clear. I always start the school year telling my students that my job is to make them understand, so if they don't understand something they should tell me I'm not doing my job and I need to work harder.

I love reading, and I love puzzles. These two loves come together in my approach to teaching comprehension and test taking skills. I believe that if you know how to break a text down into puzzles pieces that make sense to you (because we all think differently) then you can put the pieces together and tackle any level of text with ease.
