I have 14 years of middle and high school classroom experience, along with 25 years of corporate management experience. I've been tutoring online for ten years and I have developed a brilliant methodology in teaching math and reading. I am an online wizard in reaching kids with learning difficulties.

I am especially effective in diagnosing weaknesses in Math and Reading and developing a plan to address them. I use several free, online resources in Math and I assure mastery in elementary concepts before moving on. I like using Kuta Software's free online worksheets and a host of online end-of-year state testing instruments. In reading, I love teaching from a pool of about 30 highly recognized classics, like Animal Farm, Old Man and the Sea, etc. I encourage kids to read while listening to free audio on YouTube during their own time. I encourage them to watch the movies and it works extremely well. I use their familiarity with the plot and characters to get them to write simple 5-sentence paragraphs. After that, I teach them to write 5-paragraph essays. I only work using Skype.
