I create engaging openings to the lesson to draw the students in. I then model the key concepts, providing examples, content vocabulary, and clearing up any misconceptions. I then guide them through solving a problem using manipulatives, online resources, and annotation skills. I then provide them the opportunity to work independently so that I can assess if they understand the concept. I will analyze their responses to determine where I need to reteach, remediate, or how to enrich their understanding.
