About Jack
My teaching method is built on clarity, structure, and purposeful thinking. Whether a student is writing an academic essay or a piece of creative work, I begin by helping them shape ideas first before developing strong writing. I do not impose rigid templates; I teach students how to organize ideas logically and argue with precision while still developing personal voice. Every session is collaborative and active. I use questions and discussion to help students think more deeply, build stronger arguments, and revise effectively. Feedback is direct but supportive, and every session has a clear objective and next step so students always make measurable progress. Above all, I teach writing as a skill of reasoning. Strong writing is not about sounding impressive. It functions to communicate complex ideas with clarity and conviction.

I am an MFA-trained writing coach with over 15 years of teaching experience at the high school, college, and adult levels. I specialize in academic essays, literary analysis, argument structure, and creative writing. My approach is straightforward and results-focused: I help students think clearly, organize ideas with precision, and express themselves with confidence and purpose.
I don’t use generic templates, which create lifeless writing. Good writing begins with clarity of thought, so I teach students how to refine their ideas before putting them into words. My students learn the three pillars of strong writing: Structure, voice, and revision discipline. Many begin unsure or overwhelmed and end up writing with clarity, control, and academic maturity.
