About Justin
I am a pursuing Master of Fine Arts student in Painting with experience as a teaching assistant for a figure drawing class at SCAD. I have many years of painting and drawing experience, particularly dealing with the human figure. My focus has been Oil Painting, with particular emphasis on a Classical Baroque style. I am passionate about taking the knowledge that I have gathered so far in the arts and sharing it with anyone who is also passionate about learning!

In my lessons, we move slowly and intentionally through the language of oil paint—starting with drawing, value, and simple studies, then building toward rich Baroque-style light, atmosphere, and expressive figures. I demonstrate each step, paint alongside you, and/or give clear, honest feedback without judgment. Whether you are a complete beginner or polishing a portfolio, I tailor assignments to your goals: anatomy and proportion, portraits, gesture, glazing, or more experimental, surreal imagery. You will leave each session with concrete next steps, practical techniques, and a deeper sense of confidence in your own visual voice.
