About Flora
I am 24 years old and work in meteorology. At school I did the IB program and achieved a 43 (99.75 ATAR) and am confident in tutoring both courses. Somewhat uniquely, I have a love for maths and science as well as writing and communication and I love helping students to overcome their fears of both. It is easy to pigeon-hole yourself as either a "mathsy" person or an "artsy" person but most of the time, it is just insecurity holding you back.
I have been tutoring for 7 years now and have developed strong skills in teaching and coaching students, particularly through the final two years of high school. I have loved seeing my students becoming more confident in their studies and helping them to improve their results.

I have completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Atmospheric Science at the University of Melbourne and am currently working in solar forecasting.
I have 7 years experience in tutoring and specialise in maths, chemistry, physics and English at a high school level (7-12). Having achieved 99.75 ATAR / 43 IB score I am well placed to tutor VCE and IB students.
Depending on the age and requirements of the students, a session would usually be 1-2 hours. I strongly believe that confidence is the key to success and aim to help students overcome insecurities and realise their competence.
