About Valencia
The scope of my piano teaching spans from foundational hand independence for absolute beginners to nuanced jazz improvisation for advanced learners. I have provided instruction to 98 students across a diverse range of ages and skill levels. My BFA training from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama informs the way I structure complex music theory into manageable concepts for my pupils. Many self-taught players come to me seeking the technical framework required to navigate difficult pieces with ease.
Working professionals often appreciate the efficiency I bring to their practice sessions. My approach remains grounded in the realities of actual performance demands. Music is a constant companion in my life.

Musicians reach a point where their technical facility finally matches their expressive intent. My instruction focuses on achieving this clarity through targeted exercises in pedalling technique, sight reading, and contemporary theory. Because I possess a BFA in Musical Theatre, I provide custom sheet music arrangements for songs you choose to ensure the repertoire stays engaging and relevant. We address ABRSM and Trinity exam requirements with a focus on sustainable habits.
