I understand firsthand the challenges students can face, as I too benefited greatly from tutoring during my own studies. This experience gives me a unique perspective on what it's like to be on the other side, learning complex concepts and preparing for exams. My teaching methodology is highly interactive and student-driven. I utilise online interactive whiteboards like Bitpaper.io, which allows us to collaborate in real-time, writing out steps for problems or code together. This visual method helps to break down complex concepts into manageable, understandable stages. I encourage active participation, prompting students to solve problems and ask questions, and I adapt my explanations based on their responses to ensure clarity. My goal is to build confidence and foster a deep understanding of the subject matter, moving at the student's pace. Lessons typically range from 1 hour, 1.5 hours, to 2 hours, depending on the student's preference, attention span, and the complexity of the material we are covering. I am an experienced 1-to-1 online tutor. I have taught Maths, Further Maths, and Computer Science at A-level and GCSE, as well as Python programming. My academic background as an MEng Engineering Science student at the University of Oxford (Brasenose College) provides a strong foundation in these subjects, particularly in programming (Python, C++, MATLAB), Deep Learning, Robotics, and Machine Vision. I have also applied these skills in various projects, including pancreatic cancer segmentation and multi-agent systems, and have industry experience in computer vision and generative AI. My lessons are suitable for students studying Maths, Further Maths, and Computer Science at both A-level and GCSE, as well as those looking to learn Python programming. While I primarily work with secondary school students, I can adapt my teaching for various age groups who are engaging with these subjects.
