About Yuan
I have tutored 2 Australian Melbourne Uni students Chinese for two whole semesters.
They all got H1 (the highest standard in Unimelb) in the Final exam (both of them got over 90%). One of them was even able to jump from Chinese 1 directly to Chinese 4. Another successfully enrolled in an intense summer program to Fu Dan University, one of the top universities in China.
Becuase of these excellent results, those two students asked me to continue tutoring them for another year.

I am a second-year Melbourne University student majoring in Mathematical Physics.
As a native Chinese, I am able to teach foreigners both oral and written Chinese efficiently and intriguingly.
My teaching philosophy is 'multidimensionality' ------ for instance, in every lesson, I will first play a short youtube video about one topic to catch the students eyes. After a short discussion about the video content, I will teach them some important vocabulary around that topic (including some tricks to remember specific words) and help them apply these newly learnt words in a conversation. Then, some readings are provided about this topic. I will encourage my students to discuss the reading material and to share their opinions in a forum form. Some multiple choice questions will follow to test their comprehension. Finally, I will ask my students to keep a Chinese diary every day. My students will practice writing essays every fortnight.
I am dedicated, responsible, and passionate about tutoring my first language. Therefore, I believe I can be a satisfying choice:)!
