About Raphael

I’ve had a lot of success with helping students on the SAT and AP exams. I have developed strategies for test taking that work and are efficient.
I’m a chem-e with a long history of tutoring. I can teach almost any subject that is math or science-based and explain it well too. It’s not unusual for me to retain students from their early high school years and all the way through college.

About the lesson

My lessons are online and take place on Zoom typically. We usually share screens and work out problems together. For test prep, it’s recommended to work from one of the many books available or online practice tests. I often insist the student attempt an SAT test over the span of a week. This is accomplished by only taking the test for one or two sections at a time, then at the end of the week, we look at the scores on the test sections. This allows us to focus tutoring on only the errors made and how to improve their weaknesses. No wasted time rehearsing concepts they already know. Just straight to the fundamentals to fill in the missing gaps and improve their score on the next test they take over the next week. I have helped many students improve by hundreds of points on the SAT in just a few weeks. I can help you too.
