About Aine

I am a Medicinal Chemistry graduate from University of Galway and currently in my second year of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, with a strong academic background in Chemistry and Biology and experience tutoring. Having studied both subjects at Leaving Certificate level myself, I understand the commitment they require and the challenges students can face when tackling difficult concepts.

As I am still a student myself, I appreciate how important it is to find effective ways to learn, revise and prepare for exams. I aim to use this perspective to make lessons engaging, approachable and relevant to each student's needs. Through helping my younger siblings and their friends with their studies, I have gained experience explaining topics clearly and patiently, adapting my approach to suit different levels of understanding.

I am passionate about science and enjoy helping others develop their knowledge and confidence. I strive to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is to help students gain a solid understanding of their subjects, improve their exam technique and feel well prepared for their Leaving Certificate examinations

English

Having completed a degree in Medicinal Chemistry and currently studying second-year Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, I have a strong scientific background and a genuine understanding of the demands of studying. Being a student myself, I understand the challenges of learning complex topics and the importance of finding effective study methods. This allows me to approach lessons from a student's perspective and explain concepts in a way that is clear, relatable and easy to follow.

My teaching style is patient and supportive, with a focus on understanding rather than simply memorising information. I use clear explanations, worked examples and exam-style questions to help students apply their knowledge and develop confidence in answering Leaving Certificate questions. Having studied Chemistry and Biology for the Leaving Cert myself, I am familiar with the subjects and the expectations of the exams.

I also have experience tutoring, which has helped me develop an approachable and adaptable teaching style.

I offer online grinds in Leaving Certificate Chemistry and Biology, at Higher and Ordinary Level. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are tailored to each student's needs, whether that involves working through difficult topics, reinforcing course content or preparing for exams. My aim is to make learning more manageable and help each student feel confident in their abilities
