About Alyssa
I've been tutoring since I was in high school, and have been employed as both a private tutor and by my college as a peer tutor. I tutored online since before it was cool, for the last 5 years, and am always open to new modalities that work better for the student.
I am currently a fourth-year medical student, so I've been a student long enough to know what it's like, and am here to make things less stressful!

I love tutoring because it's an opportunity to be educated in an über-personalizable setting, and pride myself on my adaptability as a teacher.
I tend to prepare notes in advance and send them to you at the end of the session so you have a clear way to review the content. That being said, all of my years of schooling has taught me that the best way to put knowledge to the test is by doing practice questions, so I try to spend about half of the session reviewing questions and test-taking strategies.
These lessons are for high school students taking biology and chemistry (regents-level), and can teach college level biology, general chemistry, and genetics upon request.
