About Ryan
I am currently a medical student with a strong interest in Biology and the medical sciences. Having studied these subjects from secondary school through pre-university and now at medical school, I understand how challenging it can be to grasp complex concepts and keep up with a demanding syllabus.
As a tutor, I aim to make learning less overwhelming by explaining concepts in a clear, structured and relatable way. I am patient, approachable and happy to go through a topic more than once or explain it differently until it makes sense.
Being a current student myself also allows me to relate to the pressures of studying, examinations and managing large amounts of content. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving at their own pace.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand Biology rather than simply memorizing facts. I break complex topics into simpler concepts, use step-by-step explanations, diagrams, examples and practice questions to reinforce understanding.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and areas of difficulty. I also focus on exam techniques, identifying important keywords and understanding how to approach different types of questions.
A typical lesson lasts around 1–2 hours, depending on the student’s needs and the topic being covered.
I achieved a 4.00 CGPA in Matriculation and 9A+ and 1A in SPM, giving me a strong academic foundation in Biology and the sciences.
My lessons are suitable for lower secondary, SPM, Foundation and Matriculation students, whether you need help strengthening your basics, catching up on difficult chapters or preparing for examinations.
