About Jillian
Hello, my name is Jillian, and I am from Metro-Detroit. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a degree in Neuroscience. I am now a medical student who aspires to become a pediatric critical care physician. I would also love to teach medical students one day. I have always been passionate about teaching others. As the oldest child in a busy family, I usually helped my sisters with their homework. I frequently led study groups in high school and college, which showed me that the best way to learn something is to teach someone else how to do it. I was a nanny during college and have experience tutoring many subjects to K-12 students, as I often helped with homework. I also taught the children Spanish when requested by the parents. I am well-versed in many subjects, and I look forward to working with you!

My lessons are very interactive and involve a lot of question-asking in order to guide students to an answer, rather than just lecturing about it. This ensures a foundational understanding of the topic.
I am very passionate about science and medicine, which shows while I am teaching. I love sharing my study techniques with students as I teach different subjects. I use visual aids like white boards, flow charts, and outlines. I am great at making effective flashcards as well.
