About Bushra
I am a passionate medical student studying at the University of Leeds. Despite its difficulty, I thoroughly enjoy my degree and want to help others enjoy their subjects at school just as much! I am a very inquisitive person and love learning new things from taking a Level 3 Accounting in Bookkeeping course for fun, to trying to get into research.
During my GCSEs, I was able to achieve one of the highest grades of my entire school leaving with 7 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 (English Language) and 3 Distinction*s. I also graduated from Sixth Form with 3As in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. I then did my AAT Level 3 Accounting course in 6 months achieving a Distinction.
Despite my achievements, I found learning at school particularly challenging due to my slow-paced nature and never understood a topic until I taught it to myself in every way there was. This helped me find ways to easily conceptualise seemingly complex topics and is what truly allows me to help my students achieve their academic potential.
I believe every student has the potential to achieve the best grades with the right support and guidance.

Honestly, I didn't start with liking the sciences at school. During the earlier years I found them difficult and often got frustrated at the wording of the questions. However, the more I learnt about them and discovered new learning techniques, particularly with Biology and Chemistry, I started truly understanding the topics I was learning, spotting where there are intercepts between different topics, and spotting specific wording required from exam boards. I am now deeply passionate about both sciences and look forward to giving lessons where I can teach and talk about them, hence my degree in medicine.
During my GCSEs, I absolutely loved Mathematics, to the point where I decided to also take Further Mathematics which I also thoroughly enjoyed. I found that despite the variety of topics taught, there was often easier ways of viewing questions and remembering certain mathematics rules. As the eldest daughter I became the appointed tutor to my younger siblings and taught them these 'tricks'. They recollected to me that it was very helpful in helping to remember and understand a variety of questions.
I have now been tutoring for nearly 2 years and look forward to continue tutoring students and guiding them to their success.
