About Shruthi

Hello! My name is Shruthi, and I am a second-year medical student studying at BSMS. I chose Biology, Chemistry and Fine Art as my A-level subjects, and Maths for my AS-level. I have 4 years of experience tutoring and I offer tuition in not only GCSEs and A-levels, but also with the medicine application process, UCAT and interviews.

My own journey through the medicine application process included receiving several offers and even an unconditional offer post interview — a very rare outcome in medicine.

While balancing A-levels, I know the demands students encounter. I bring this experience into my teaching, helping students strengthen both their academic performance and their applications.

About the lesson

GCSEs and A Levels can be challenging without the right approach, technique, and time management. My lessons are designed to cover the full curriculum, with particular emphasis on high-yield topics identified through my analysis of the past 10 years of exam papers. All concepts are explained clearly, ensuring students build both understanding and confidence. From the very first lesson, we integrate exam-style and past paper questions in a manageable, guided way — so that students not only learn the content but also know how to apply it effectively.

My lessons have consistently helped students improve their grades. I offer support at the following levels:

- KS2 / Pre-GCSE: Building enjoyment of the subject through stimulating conversations that spark curiosity and intellectual engagement.

- GCSE & A Level: Focused content coverage, exam technique, and strategies for revision and time management to maximise results.

- Medicine Applications (UCAT, Personal Statement, Interviews): Tailored guidance for every stage of the application process, including MMI and Panel interview preparation.
