About Lia
I have recently graduated from the University of Windsor Biological Sciences program and I have taken a variety of courses spanning the discipline.
With a cGPA of 94%, I have a thorough understanding of a wide variety of courses and I have teaching experience as a TA for two introductory biology courses at the University of Windsor.
Additionally, I also mentored undergraduate students in my research laboratory and taught them concepts related to my thesis in cancer biology.
I will be attending Medical school at the University of Ottawa this upcoming Fall and I am very familiar with MCAT style and concepts - especially those in the Biology section!

I teach by asking students stimulating questions, and guiding them to the answer. I believe that learning should be an active process that requires thought and critical thinking rather than a passive listening experience - especially when studying for the MCAT!
In a typical lesson, you can expect to begin by answering baseline knowledge questions so I can assess where you are, and outlining what you want to focus on during the lesson.
Then, I will outline the goals of our lesson by integrating important concepts with your areas of interest. We will then work together to reach a thorough understanding of the concepts that will give you confidence when answering practice questions and completing full lengths!
