About Shahana
Hi! I'm a medical student at Western University with a nursing background and a passion for teaching. Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages through tutoring, mentoring, and teaching piano, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I offer personalized math tutoring for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each student's unique needs and pace. Whether your child needs help with homework, preparing for tests, strengthening foundational skills, or building confidence in math, I'm here to provide patient guidance and clear, step-by-step explanations.

I believe the best way to learn math is by understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style and pace, with a focus on building confidence through clear explanations, guided practice, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing homework or identifying areas of difficulty, followed by working through examples together and practicing similar problems independently. I also share study and problem-solving strategies that help students become more confident and independent learners.
As a medical student with a nursing background and years of teaching experience, I strive to create a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
My lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and high school students of all skill levels, whether they need extra support, homework help, or enrichment.
