About Ailsa

Hi my name is Ailsa and I am a medical student in my final year.

From experience, I know how stressful exam season can be and I want to help you get the best grades possible.

I have experience teaching in small group sessions and also 1 to 1.

Also I'm happy to offer advice if you are aspiring to apply for medicine, as I appreciate this can be a very lengthy and difficult process!

About the lesson

Biology lessons for A-level and GCSE students.

I have sat these exams myself so I know exactly what you need to do to get those top grades!

My lessons can be as chilled or intensive as you like. I like to stick to a syllabus and have a strong focus on exam technique to get you through. In my many years of exams I have learnt plenty of techniques to help you work smarter not harder.

Each lesson can be adapted to your specific teaching style as everybody learns differently, you're in charge.

I’ve had tutoring from several people in the past, and Ailsa was the most patient of them all. I feel like her tutoring style made her incredibly approachable, and she never made me feel stupid for not knowing something. Sometimes it felt like she knew more than my own biology teacher! I was getting D’s/E’s in my A-level bio mocks 6 months ago and now I’m on track to secure an A and head to uni in the summer. I’m so grateful!! Couldn’t recommend a better tutor, thanks Ailsa :)
