About Jana

Hi! I’m Jana, and I’m a past Edexcel turned medical student.

I’m 18, so I wasn’t a GCSE student all that long ago. I remember precisely the struggle of balancing all those subjects and know how frustrating it can be to fully understand the content but still lose marks because of small mistakes, on top of the pressure of trying to achieve perfect grades. If you’re currently in the same boat, with me you’ll gain insight on how exactly to reach shore without drowning: guiding you through those mistakes is what I do, and did in school, best.

My sessions are relaxed, practical, and completely exam-focused. We’ll work through real Edexcel exams together, go through your answers carefully, identify where you’re losing marks, and work on how to avoid those mistakes in future. I’m also happy to answer specific questions you have about the syllabus whenever you get stuck so you can confidently turn your knowledge into marks, into target grades, and into dreams.

About the lesson

I offer focused Edexcel exam training for students who already have a good understanding of the syllabus but want to improve their exam performance and maximise their marks.

The aim is simple: fewer avoidable mistakes, better exam technique, and more marks from what you already know to make the knowledge you already have actually work for you.

My sessions are not traditional lessons where we work through the entire syllabus. Instead, we focus on the most crucial bit, what the entire academic year builds up to: what happens when you actually sit the exam. This involves solving past papers, analysing answers, identifying mistakes, and learning how to approach questions in the way Edexcel mark schemes reward.

We will work through the secret to scoring high grades by solving past papers together and I’ll help you understand why an answer gained or lost marks, how to avoid repeating the same mistakes, and how to structure your answers more effectively, all with my tried & true tips and tricks that helped me score straight 9’s and A’s in my AL’s.

I can also answer questions about specific parts of the Edexcel syllabus whenever you’re unsure about something, without turning the session into a full lesson.

Sessions can include:

* Edexcel past paper practice
* Working through difficult exam questions
* Detailed correction of your answers
* Understanding Edexcel mark schemes
* Identifying exactly where you are losing marks
* Improving answer structure and exam technique
* Practising calculation and application questions
* Spotting common mistakes and misconceptions
* Time-management strategies for exams
* Targeted preparation for upcoming Edexcel exams
