About Leyla
Hi,
I'm Leyla and I'm currently studying medicine at university. I really enjoy teaching, have experience tutoring at a range of levels and am keen to keep it up. I like to see a student progress and their confidence in their abilities grow throughout sessions and like to set goals tailored to each student to work towards.
Aside from tutoring, I enjoy playing football and am currently captain of my university team. I have also coached younger children football previously. My other hobbies include cooking and learning languages.
I'm looking forward to meeting my future students and helping you achieve your goals!

My lessons will start with a teaching session of the topic of focus (using methods tailored to each student such as visual aids or analogies to explain the concepts), then an explanation of example questions. Following this, we will work through questions together, explaining difficult concepts as we go through. Each week the student will also be provided with practice questions to work through at home, which we will go through in the next session. I like to encourage the student to ask questions and be involved throughout so will take regular pauses and check understanding through asking the student questions.
I have tutored online and in person previously for primary school up to IB level. I am currently a 4th year medical student so am happy to also cover medicine interview techniques and have a BSc in Medical Sciences with Global Health.
My lessons in Maths are for primary school to GCSE and for Biology and Chemistry from primary school to IB.
