About Tarun
Hello! I’m Tarun Mathew Doss from Chennai, India, and I’m currently pursuing my first year of medical studies at the University of Manchester. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in the sciences, and I've consistently excelled in both biology and chemistry (IBDP 43/45 with a 7 in Biology and Chemistry HL).
My background includes achieving distinctions in the Avogadro Chemistry Exam and the International Chemistry Quiz, alongside my active involvement in research internships at renowned institutions like the Sudha Gopalkrishnan Brain Centre and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
Beyond the classroom, I've actively engaged in research, contributing to a published paper on the ethical concerns raised by CRISPR-Cas9 applications in gene drives and human germline editing. This hands-on experience has given me a profound understanding of these subjects beyond the textbook, and I'm eager to share this knowledge with others.
