About Faramade
I am a 3rd year Medical student that enjoys teaching because I love making complex concepts approachable. Tutoring lets me combine my clinical training with teaching, helping students build strong foundations and confidence. Explaining material sharpens my own understanding, reinforces core sciences, and allows me to give back by supporting learners at different stages through clear, engaging, patient focused instruction that promotes curiosity and success. My medical training and IB background allow me to offer clear explanations, exam focused strategies, and real world context that help students build confidence, strengthen foundations, and achieve strong academic results.

To begin a tutoring series, getting to know the student is essential. So before we even start our first session, I will prioritise discussion and understanding my student's learning style.
When teaching, I like to use various active recall methods that require students to retrieve the information we go over together and ensure their knowledge is consolidated. These include: flashcards, past questions etc.
Memorisation is hard when it comes to subjects with large content, that is why I like to prioritise understanding and problem solving. The more familiar you are with a concept, the easier it is to commit its facts to memory.
