About Liky

I'm Liky, I am a Medical student at the University of Glasgow. I love being able to help others understand course material and it brings me great satisfaction to support them in achieving their own academic goals. I am excited to share my techniques in learning and methods which can help them understand difficult parts of the course which I had to overcome myself. I will put in time and care into curating a lesson which fits your personal needs and pace. - All As and top marks at National 5 and Higher Maths, English, Chemistry, Biology and Physics as well as Advanced Higher Chemsitry and Biology. I also had offers for Medicine at Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.

About the lesson

My lessons will be interactive and targeted to help you with what you need most. We will go over concepts that are hard to understand together and I will make sure to go at an appropriate pace for you. Having the most up-to-date experience allows me to plan the most relevant lessons. Being a student, I fully understand the struggles other students may be having with their subjects and I know the best way on how to tackle these issues. Students feel more comfortable being taught by someone of a similar age which allows for open discussions on what they really need help with. I studied for GCSE until 2021 and am very familiar with the course contents, however I took my exams in Scotland so instead of GCSE and A-Level qualifications, I have its equivalent of National 5 and Highers / Advanced Highers. I am a top A student, and received the highest score in my school for all of my National 5s, and in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Higher level. As someone who has personally studied the course contents recently and aced the knowledge required, I know the most effective explanations and methods of study.

I have experience privately tutoring many students and all have come back with excellent feedback. I find it incredibly rewarding to know I have made a positive impact on their lives.

I have volunteered at a local primary school. My roles included supporting the students teaching maths to support groups. I was responsible for many 1:1 teaching sessions and have experience going over concepts with children who did not understand in the main class. In secondary school, I am in charge of many clubs, including STEM and creative writing, as well as after school study groups. I have lots of experience in planning tasks and activities to support the learning of students I am in charge of. I have also conducted private tutoring for many students online looking for extra support with their exams. During these sessions, I planned interactive lessons that they would enjoy, but most importantly, would remember and understand. I took time and care to figure out the causes of any issues they were having with the course. I am adept in video call technology and can create a comfortable judgement-free environment for students.

First lesson will be charged the standard £25/hour - Nat 5 or £30/hour - Higher
