About Marina
Hi! My name is Marina and I am currently a second year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have a real passion for biology and achieved an A* in A level biology with AQA. Having recently completed my own GCSE’s and A-levels I understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams. I really want to help students reach their full potential while building their confidence and helping them grow to love biology!

I offer tutoring for both GCSE and A-level biology with a strong focus on not only understanding the content but being able to apply this knowledge in an exam setting.
As a second year medical student, I have only recently completed my own A-levels so I understand the importance of understanding the mark scheme.
In each lesson I like to first focus on building confidence in topics you’re struggling with. I’ll explain the content clearly and in a way that suits how you learn, breaking down concepts until you feel comfortable with them. Once you have a solid understanding of the content we will use exam style questions tailored to your exam board to test your knowledge and identify any areas that still need work. I’ll also use practice papers and mark schemes to help you how to apply your knowledge in an exam and recognise exactly what examiners are looking for.
