About Uma
I am a first-year medical student at UCL from East London, with previous voluntary teaching experience who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in English. Having achieved a grade 9 at GCSE I know very well the specific exam techniques needed to achieve the highest grades and am determined to help other students reach their goals.

My teaching method is to first assess my students on what knowledge and skills they already have, and their preferred way of learning. I then use their subject-specific specification, textbook or set books to branch off and give them practice questions and themes to test and expand their knowledge
