About Anas
Hello! I am a Medical Student studying at Bristol University, and I am taking a year away from university to build on my experiences as a young adult. I am very passionate about science, and I aim to share this with other younger students, through interactive teaching, which I have found to make students much more comfortable!
Being a young student myself allows me to relate to students much better than most tutors, and having completed the same exams more recently gives me a much greater knowledge of mark scheme patterns and examination techniques as well as trick questions. This is the key to achieving the highest marks in GCSE Science exams, and it is this that I explain to my students.
I have great experience in teaching many students including my younger siblings, who have mostly achieved 9's in Sciences as a result of my exceptional teaching strategies. Over time, I have developed the most efficient teaching methods to maximise understanding and memory.

I feel that it's very important to engage with students, hence why I use many visual diagrams and illustrations on a whiteboard to increase information retention. I approach each topic at a foundation level if required and build on that, as I have found that strong basics are crucial to effective learning. As well as academic requirements, I aim to develop exam technique and effective note-taking, which have led me to success in my studies.
Being a science-focused student means that I love to teach very logically, using examples and common sense to figure out concepts. Research has shown that spoon-feeding information is not an optimal learning technique. Therefore, I believe that my students develop deeper thinking and reasoning skills.
