About Amy

I graduated with a Double Major in Medical Sciences and Chemistry. I started giving private lessons part-time 6 years ago, and full-time now for 3 years. I teach Mathematics and Sciences to middle school and high school students. I enjoy being able to work with a diverse group of students with various academic and cultural backgrounds!

About the lesson

I love to work with my students to analyze their current level and strategies to get them to reach their goals. I patiently go through as many examples as needed, and encourage my students to think critically to attempt questions on their own. Rather than only focusing on learning a specific formula or memorizing information, I like to teach the techniques for studying and reinforce strong work ethic overall which will translate to all other courses as well. I love seeing my students' confidence increase, and translate to how they carry themselves day-to-day.

$30/h/student for Group Classes (2-4 students) - Although it is a group class, I'll be going around to each student and teaching separate lessons if preferred. For students in the same grade and school, or who wish to take the class together may opt to have one lecture class (learning the same topics, rather than separate lessons). Please reach out for any questions regarding class style. $50/h for 1:1 Math Focus Class $55/h for 1:1 Science Focus Class
