About David

Teaching has always been my passion. I believe it’s the greatest impact you can have-to pass down knowledge and inspire the next generation. What you know can spark change and lead others, and I feel this is one of the main reasons we are called to be alive, and why leadership is so important. I’ve always dreamed of being a leader and helping those around me become leaders in their own right, making them responsible and empowered. One way I believe I can achieve this is by teaching. I am deeply committed to guiding others, especially when it comes to subjects like mathematics, which has always been a part of my life. I’ve never struggled with math; in fact, I have a natural way of understanding it that has helped me throughout my academic journey. This is why I want to pass down my knowledge to those who might find it challenging. To me, mathematics is the very reason behind how the world functions, and I want to expose my students to its wonders, helping them see its importance and relevance in our daily lives. Qualifications & Experience I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University and have always excelled in mathematics. My natural ability to understand complex mathematical concepts has given me a unique perspective, and I am eager to share that with my students.

About the lesson

Teaching Philosophy & Methodology

I believe that understanding the core concepts behind mathematics is the key to truly mastering it. My teaching approach starts by helping students comprehend the meaning behind the numbers and the logic of the operations before diving into calculations. By focusing on the why and how of math, I ensure that students can not only apply what they learn in the classroom but also tackle real-world problems with confidence.

Lesson Duration

The typical length of my lessons is one hour, though I adjust this depending on the student’s level. For more complex topics or when additional focus is needed, the lesson may extend up to two hours.

Target Audience

My lessons are designed for children aged 17 and below or students in SS3 and lower. I aim to build a solid mathematical foundation that will serve them well in their academic journey and beyond.

Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a CGPA of 4.40 out of 5. This strong academic background gives me the expertise to break down complex concepts and make them accessible to young learners.
