About Jahan
I am a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Birmingham where I achieved a high Upper Second Class (with Honours). As part of this, I completed an industrial placement year in London at an engineering and architecture consultancy firm. I have experience tutoring of GCSE higher paper alongside my A-Level studies to year 10's and year 11's as well as tutoring GCSE foundation maths individually. I'd like to teach a mixture of exam methods (ensuring maximum marks for each question) but also teaching so that students recognise and tackle problems that aren't in the typical exam question format and really grasp a fundamental understanding of the topics. I would suggest completing set homework by your children's teacher together and further learning of the topic (from revision books and/or additional worksheets) to ensure full understanding of the subjects. I get along really well with children and I understand that revising (especially maths) isn't the most fun thing in the world but I believe people find learning much more enjoyable when they see progress in their abilities. Due to COVID risks and restrictions, all tutoring will be done online over webcam. This has also prompted me to reduce my fee as I no longer need to account for travel expenses.
