About Teodora
I have recently completed the first year of the Life Sciences program at McMaster University. I am very passionate about sharing my knowledge to other students and helping them achieve their academic goals. I have extensive experience tutoring students in biology, mathematics, and chemistry. I especially love teaching Biology, because it has always been my favourite subject in school and I have developed many unique teaching styles to help students completely understand the material, rather than just memorizing it.

My teaching methods are flexible and I can adapt easily to the specific student's needs and preferred learning styles. I am very patient and will not hesitate to explain material that is not understood multiple times in different ways. My tutoring sessions are extremely interactive, and involve continually grasping the student's attention by asking them questions about the material and asking them to explain the concepts to me to test their understanding. During a tutoring session, I will start by going over the topics and concepts that the student struggles most with, and I will go over these thoroughly, or until the student has an excellent understanding of them. I will also create practice problems to test the student's knowledge throughout the session. I like to explain concepts using words, diagrams, graphs, and pictures. I will often ask the student if they have any questions, or if there are gaps in their understanding that they would like to cover in more detail.
