About Bogdan
I've been teaching in classrooms for a few months, and tutoring essay-writing for years. I have a Bachelor's in Philosophy and English Lit. and am currently working on a Master's in English Lit. My approach to teaching emphasizes positive reinforcement and strictly foregoes any sort of punishment, threat, judgement, and blame. I believe in the performative approach to identity: We are not innately good or bad at anything, and we can master any skill, and learn to enjoy it, with consistent action over time.

Dear future students,
I can help you turn your the Cs on your academic papers into straight As.
For any humanities course (English, Ethics, Social Sciences, History, etc) from the high school level to university!
I have a simple method to help you read, think, and write critically: Be irreverent and playful with the source material, whatever it may be.
I love working with works of both fiction and theory which depict a world otherwise. I might suggest to you fiction works of contemporary magical realism, or else the theory works of contemporary critical historians.
Or else, we can work together on materials already assigned to you. Whatever the materials, by working side-by-side, we'll quickly make great leaps in improving...
Your syntax and vocabulary,
Your essay structure and integration of primary and secondary sources
Your research skills and your effective use of the internet as a resource,
The in-text and oral formulation of your ideas, and how you elaborate on them,
...As well as...
Your sense of taste,
Your critical intuition with regards to literature, both fiction and theory,
Your sense of justice,
Your democratic sensibility in general, and your understanding of student rights in the context of pedagogy,
Your understanding of the world and of how to build a better one.
All of these skills will be indispensable to you throughout your life!
Warm regards,
Bogdan.
