About Nora
I am an incoming medical student at the Schulich School of Medicine at Western University after completing 3 years of the Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences program at McMaster University. I have vast experience tutoring students of all ages and tutoring friends, colleagues and fellow students in the MCAT. I have helped students improve their scores from the low 500s to 515+. I was a head TA for cellular biology and my unique background in both engineering and health sciences has given me a very strong foundation in chemistry, physics and biology. Outside of school, I'm an avid runner; I ran varsity cross-country and track throughout undergrad, and I love being active outdoors. In my spare time, I like to read, watch Grey's Anatomy and hang out with friends and family.

As a tutor, I focus on building both confidence and critical thinking skills through personalized, active learning. I meet students where they’re at—tailoring each session to their unique strengths and challenges. Every student begins with a consultation to assess needs, from planning and accountability to detailed passage breakdowns.
A typical CARS session includes three close-reading passage analyses, where we review each question together and practice applying different strategies in real time.
As someone who just recently wrote the test themselves, I have a very strong understanding of the test and the resources currently available. I am also very familiar with each of the Canadian medical schools and their application processes and can offer specific advice.
