I base my class on interactions amd examples. The more the kids will interact, the more they will learn. For maths I tend to explain the concepts with everyday examples. That way it's easier for them to grasp things quickly. For english I start with grammar, because grammar is the base of any language. If you excel in it, you are halfway through.
