About Rachel

I bring a unique blend of educational expertise and real-world experience to my teaching. With a background spanning program management, student services, and classroom instruction, I've dedicated my career to helping others achieve their learning goals. When I'm not in the classroom or tutoring, you'll likely find me with my nose in a book or planning my next travel adventure. I'm a passionate animal lover and believe in creating a warm, welcoming learning environment where students can feel comfortable and confident. My approach to tutoring combines my formal education - including an MBA and extensive work in education - with my natural ability to connect with students and adapt to their individual learning styles.

About the lesson

With my Master's in Education background and extensive experience supporting diverse student populations, I offer expert English tutoring tailored to your unique learning journey - whether you're a K-12 student needing academic support, a college student working on essays, or a professional looking to enhance your business communication skills. My lessons combine proven teaching methods with personalized learning strategies, incorporating interactive activities, real-world examples, and structured feedback to ensure measurable progress. Each 60-minute session follows a clear structure: we begin with a quick review of previous concepts, move into focused skill-building exercises, engage in practical application through writing or conversation, and end with actionable takeaways and personalized homework. What sets me apart is my unique blend of educational expertise and business acumen - drawing from my MBA and professional experience to help students not just master English fundamentals but also develop practical communication skills valuable in academic and professional settings. As both an experienced instructional aide and substitute teacher currently working with diverse learning needs, I'm skilled at adapting my teaching approach to accommodate different learning styles and goals.
