I love to learn and teach. I want to help students of all ages share my love of learning and succeed in school and accomplish their life goals.
I was a top 10 student in high school, graduated Cum Laude in college, and I have an MBA from a top business school. I have over 15 years of professional experience, including working on Wall Street.

My approach to tutoring students is rooted in contextual learning and the Socratic Method. I try to help lead students to answers and help them build the mental scaffolding to solve problems independently.
Rather than teaching rote facts in a vacuum, I bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world application. I share knowledge by encouraging students to look at the "why", ensuring they don't just memorize a process but understand the underlying narrative.
I structure my sessions to ensure maximum retention and immediate application:
1. Retrieval Warm-Up: a quick review of the previous session’s "stumble points" to solidify the foundation.
2. Conceptual Deep Dive: Introducing the new concept.
3. Guided Practice: Working through problems together, where I gradually reduce my input as the student gains confidence.
4. Independent Synthesis: The student explains the concept back to me or completes a final "challenge" problem.
5. The "So What?" Wrap-up: Summarizing how this specific lesson applies to broader topics or upcoming exams.
